One of sports entertainment’s hottest organizations revealed Monday that they will be making their inaugural local live appearance next month.
WWE NXT, the developmental branch of World Wrestling Entertainment, will present a multi-match event on Friday, April 28 at Family Arena in St. Charles. Bell time is set for 7:30 p.m.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative, tweeted Monday afternoon that the organization will be making a Midwestern trek that also includes stops at Kansas City satellite city Independence, Missouri and Memphis, Tennessee suburb Southhaven, Mississippi. All three locations marks first-time visits for the touring group that WWE created in 2012.

Based in Winter Park, Florida, NXT produces a weekly television show that debuts new episodes on the WWE Network Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The organization began promoting events outside its Floridian home base in 2015 and its most recent special event seen on WWE Network, January’s “NXT Takeover San Antonio,” drew over 9,400 spectators in Texas.
The April 28 NXT event will be the fourth appearance of professional wrestling at Family Arena. Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) presented “Wrestlepalooza” in 2000 while Total Nonstop Action (TNA) presented its “Lockdown” pay-per-view events in 2007 and 2010.
